Drama watch (Part 2)

Okay~ I was actually planning to place this drama first but I got excited and had to place Story of Man first.
It’s such a pleasure to rant about such great drama. So, I’m starting to be creative and stuffs. (cute first pic! Moon Chae Won and Han Hyo Joo are angels.) Drama Watch Part 2 features Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance 찬란한 유산

I had anticipated this drama ever since SBS announced it. I remembered this drama’s first English title was Life Is Beautiful 인생은 아름다워 . Ever since, I had been searching it around Yahoo! Korea and finding more info about it. I was interested with the drama because of Han Hyo Joo being casted after her last role in SBS Iljimae. Then I didn’t know that Lee Seung Gi was joining. Watched the 1n2d gang every wednesday night in KBS WORLD. Okay, First impression. The drama would be exciting. Something fun. Judging the banners the images looks great. Seems like a great drama. Because of the pretty faces.

Character Introduction:

Han Hyo Joo a.k.a Go Eun Sung is the daughter of Go Pyung Joong, a Chairman of a company. The chairman had no successor for his company at all since he’s only son, Go Eun Woo is a special person, meaning he had no other inheritor rather than Eun Sung, that’s why he had decided to send her to the states to study Business, but Eun Sung is not interested in anything related to business at all. That’s why she chose to be a chef instead. Studying Culinary Arts. Then when she came back she was not informed that her father’s company is already on the bankrupt stage bringing her step-mother Baek Sung Hee to a desperate state. Then a incident suddenly happened. People had thought that Eun Sung’s father died because, leading the ‘Go’ family to be bankrupt and had no money at all. And Eun Sung’s step-mother had decided to remove her and daughter, Moon Chae Won a.k.a Seung Mi their connections. Bringing lots of tragedy to Eun Sung and Eun Woo.

Lee Seung Gi a.k.a Sun Woo Hwan is the grandson of ‘Grandmother’ which is the Chairman of a Beef Soup Company and the boyfriend/lover of Seung Mi. He is a spoiled brat and what korean’s call ‘chaebool.’ Grandmother wants Hwan to inherit the company and work for it first. But things are bound to change when Grandmother starts meeting Eun Sung because of an accident (again!!).

Reasons why this drama is a must watch?

The drama is your typical KDrama wherein the fated lovers are enemies and their current lovers are connected to each other. And another typical is that the two leads hate each other and would only start falling inlove because of them staying together in the restaurant (that’s what I predict that would happen.) And everyone is already fond of such things, isn’t it? We always like those moments wherein we really know that they’ll end up despite their odd moments. Then comes a evil person that injures our little lead with minor stuffs only. We love such plot, don’t we?

A side note, please give yourslef a little break when watching the drama. Maybe 1 episode per 2 days? Since the drama is addicting! Eun Sung’s very sweet moments with Bae Soo Bin is one thing you shouldn’t miss. Then the sweet moments of Grandmother and Eun Sung. Those two are the sweet ones. When you want to hate the world, remember to mezmerize the moment of Seung Mi’s mother trying to do evil things for the sake of her daughter. And if you want to feel nothing at all. Anticipate the moment of Hwan’s friend trying to look rich when he’s actions are poor. (haha!)

Now, let’s compare this to a draaaama, Boys Before Flowers, I had read so much comments in soompi about the drama being compare to this because of the addiction thingy. and another was that Han Hyo Joo looks like Goo Hye Sun. I didn’t know that can be seen by people. Han Hyo Joo’s look is like a american-korean type. While Goo Hye Sun is the typical korean look. Acting comparation. Brilliant Legacy! Boys Before Flowers actors were all newbie. Goo Hye Sun was the only one to save the cast. Then, Story: I can’t choose? I want Boys Before Flowers but, Brilliant Legacy is something. So, Both! Cast, Brilliant Legacy! Boys Before Flowers was nothing. So Eun, Hye Sun & Kim Min Joon were the only ones enjoying. The 4 were, dead, brutal, happy and nothing. compare to Brilliant Legacy. Music? Boys Before Flowers only! All 3 OST albums was great! But for Brilliant Legacy they had only placed 3 songs? What’s up with that? But all were great! Revelation why this drama was being compared.. the male lead is a jerk wherein the female lead is nice and all for her family. Both can be found.

To close Part 2 of drama watch, the drama is worth watching (again!!) and it is showing great continuous level of great story! The plot moves so great and it reveals things on the proper time. Rating it from 1-5 let’s give it a 4.9. Just fix Lee Seung Gi’s acting and we’re all done. and sometimes, pretty casting does work. 🙂
