The Gumiho starts while Dong-Yi still leads

I find it very rare to see all 4 dramas to be included in the Top 20 whenever one drama reaches the 30% mark. Remarkably, we have the new drama, Gumiho: Fox’s Child to be able to reach single ratings but considering the state of it’s predecessors it’s pretty decent. So we now have 1 contemporary drama, 2 sageuk dramas & 1 period drama for the Monday-Tuesday timeslot from the 3 big stations.

Which are still [in order] Dong Yi 동이, GIANT 자이언트, Gumiho: Fox’s Child 구미호여우누이뎐 & Coffee House 커피하우스. Here are the ratings for last Monday & Tuesday, July 5 & 6 of 2010. According to TNS Media Research for the whole Nationwide results & Seoul results as well.

It’s really surprising to see that another drama of the same timeslot is still achieving a double-digit rating while in fact its competitor is about to reach the 30% mark, i’m talking about MBC’s, Dong Yi. And yes, I need to start watching this melodrama already, the fact that Park Jin Hee is part of it and the child actors are the best, I do need the time to watch it.

I miss doing this part in my blog. Though I still continue to post ratings at soompi, I can’t post my POV about it. Now I’m so glad that i’m free and i’ll be expressing what I feel about the ratings. MBC’s 49th anniversary project, Dong Yi, had once proven again that MBC has been reigning into the sageuk genre in terms of ratings! I’m watching the show and it’s okay, but i’m still looking for the wow factor.

Ratings Analysis [09.07.13-09.07.19]

As soon as we say a sad goodbye for Brilliant Legacy, we will soon this drama reign in the ratings. Why? Because it’s currently on the 2nd/3rd place of the whole ratings. While questions for last week are answered with a sweet Yes and some had to answer with a No. Ratings for last week.

I say, congratulations for this week. As Swallow the Sun had a impressive or OK first episode rating on it’s Thursday episode. While nothing has changed at all since SBS Brilliant Legacy is still leading and some timeslots were similar to last week also. Nothing much had changed.

Probably considered as “The Kiss of the Century.” But we can’t describe it as the kiss that made the drama reach 40%. For this week, we have kisses & a departure from it’s airing, but some didn’t managed to maintain their breaks, as what was described last week. Ratings for last week (June 29, 2009-July 05, 2009).

Ah, yeah! Sol Pharmacy House is one of the dramas that recorded something good today, it’s co-weekend drama, Brilliant Legacy also same goes to Wednesday-Thursday drama, City Hall. All dramas broke somthing for a change. After my previous post for Ratings Analysis last week, here I am again rambling about the ratings for Monday (June 22) until yesterday, Sunday (June 28).

The currently one of the 2 dramas that had been receiving the so much love from Korean viewers today, Brilliant Legacy. Since it’s the first/number one drama today that had recorded a 34.4% ratings last sunday. And followed by Queen Seon Duk which garnered a 32% last tuesday. Both dramas are from different networks and different timeslots. But we have three more dramas that will soon enter the ratings game and 2 dramas that entered that was badly injured from the ratings.
